The Family Grows! Introducing Baby Grace
Hello to all our friends and family! Thank you for your patience getting info, measurements, and responses back to you as we’ve been busy learning the ins and outs of caring for our little blessing!
Grace’s full name is Grace Ruth Elliott, and she came out very happy and healthy!
Grace’s birth details
Abby was in labor starting Friday and gave birth on Sunday evening. She did amazing and didn’t even use an epidural. Everyone was impressed! At birth, after skin-to-skin time Grace was weighed and measured at 7 Lbs 14 Oz with a length of 19.75 inches. A good size!
Do you need anything?
We were blessed by a lot of generosity on our baby shower so we’re good on most of the essential items. I am sure we will go through diapers pretty fast, but we are all set on everything else.
Words of encouragement are still very welcome, especially as we get further into the next two weeks with this being our first child. Prayers are also very welcome! Please pray for patience, wisdom, blessings on health, finances, and mental well-being, and above all health.
Do you have a meal train?
We currently do not have a meal train. We’re both kind of restrictive on our eating, so we were hesitant to give a green light on one. If you would still like to provide food help, we primarily buy our groceries from Amazon (grocery delivery) and Hannaford, and both offer gift cards. there are also some good restaurants around that offer gift cards, which would give us both the flexibility of choice and definitely help with the meal struggle. I tossed together a list of Abby’s favorite restaurants if you’d like to take a look, but please (and I can’t stress this enough) feel no pressure! God has continuously provided for us in unexpected ways and I have no doubt he will continue to provide what we need.
I need photos of baby Grace, NOW!
We get it, we were excited to see her for the first time too! We have a password protected shared folder of baby photos that you can find on this page (or by clicking the Grace Ruth Elliott Photo Library at the top of this website). We are being very conservative with photos and primarily keeping it to just family and close friends as we want to respect little Grace’s privacy and keep photos from ending up online. Please do not send the photos to anyone. Likewise do not post them online or on social media under any circumstances. Thanks for your understanding!
